Reconciliation Week is fast approaching and is always a big event at Gerringong Public School. We will be celebrating Reconciliation Week on Thursday, 26th May to Friday, 3rd June.
The week will begin with a group of selected students attending the Kiama Council Sorry Day march and performing at the Sorry Day Ceremony. This will take place at the Pavilion in Kiama on Thursday, 26th May.
On Friday, 27th May, the whole school will participate in a day filled with Aboriginal cultural activities delivered by the Koomurri Performance Group. Please return your permission note and money. All parents and community members are invited to our Afternoon Tea and assembly where our students will participate in a performance. Please see the attached flyer for more information. We will also have the Gamarada Room open for visits throughout the week.
The canteen will be having a special menu for Reconciliation Week so keep an eye out on Flexischools for this!
We always have a wonderful supportive and inclusive community come out and stand together to acknowledge and celebrate this week. We look forward to seeing all of our parents and community members.
